My favorites were watching the children dance with scarves after our scarf catching challenges and seeing them have fun with the cars and costumes at choice time each day. They love new choices! Last Friday was our Teddy Bear Picnic. It was also picture day. I can't wait to see our class picture full of teddy bears this year!!
Abeer is our STAR of the Week. Her favorite book is Silverlicious by Victoria Kann. Here is what students had to say about Abeer: "She's sweet and kind." - Avery "She's my friend." - Aizah "She asks me if I can find a friend to play with." - Corinne "She always listens to us." - Ayaan "She's nice to everybody." - Lara "She's very kind." - Evan These little ones are entering into new routines as we focus on a letter each week. One new routine is environmental print sharing each Tuesday. Here is our Bb page: Students are getting to know each other better and are adapting to each other's styles of learning and play. They are learning to be polite and use good manners so that everyone can get along and have a good time. I love seeing them have fun together! Last, but not least, I have to add some shots from Rainbow Day! We celebrated a couple Fridays ago but this is the first blog since then. Students learned all about the colors of the rainbow and were introduced to the science behind it. One parent generously bought prisms for the classroom and for every student so that we could make real rainbows at our celebration and so that students could even make rainbows at home!
