TK focused on one letter every week from A to Z with Zoophonics this year. Last we we culminated with Zz week. This week we celebrated our hard work with an Alphabet celebration. We celebrated with an alphabet soup soiree, alphabet activities, and by watching Martha Speaks on Reading Rainbow about a dog that can talk after eating alphabet soup! Here are some pictures of our fun that day as well as just enjoying time with friends in the beautiful California sun.

Sydnee is our STAR of the Week. Her favorite book is Thelma the Unicorn by Aaron Blabey. Here is what students had to say about Sydnee: "She's playful." - Maya "I like Sydnee." - Rajveer "She's my friend and she likes horses just like me." - Isabel "I like Sydnee." - Ayinde "When someone gets hurt, she helps them feel better." - Eli "She likes piggies like me." - Lilian The big news this week is all about eggs! We kicked off our Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales unit with Humpty Dumpty and Jack & Jill themed activities and... *drumroll* our REAL eggs arrived!!! They are safely starting incubating in our classroom. In 21 days, we'll see what hatches!

TK had lots of fun practicing poses with Cosmic Kids Yoga. The biggest hit was the Minecraft themed yoga. I'm linking it below so you can share it at home too. It's especially great for those rainy or hot days that limit options for playing outside. |
