Students are focusing on the social skill of self control. Students discussed what self-control looks like and sounds like. This week our school celebrated Global School Play Day. Children got to bring toys to school and enjoy a whole day of unstructured play. Don't be fooled though; play is serious business. Children build many necessary social skills during play. Cooperation, persuasion, conflict management, and decision making are all strengthened during unstructured play. Even more though, GSPD is possibly the most joyful day of the year. Just look at all these happy kids!
